Building an organisation that can grow responsibly.
Our ambition is long term. Our governance needs to be capable of supporting and enabling it.
We're developing the people, structures and safeguards that will help YOUTHOOD make sound decisions, take responsibility for its commitments and keep learning as the organisation grows.
We're particularly interested in people who can offer independent perspectives, experience from different sectors and the confidence to ask useful questions, not simply agree with us.

We're building governance for the organisation we are now, while carefully considering the structures we may need in future.
Current CIC governance development
We're seeking people to help strengthen the governance arrangements associated with our developing Community Interest Company structure. Appointments and responsibilities will be determined through the applicable governing documents and formal processes.
Possible charitable or dual arrangements
As our plans evolve, we're also exploring what future charitable status or a complementary structure could require. Any charity trusteeship or dual-entity arrangements would be distinct, subject to the relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and not an automatic extension of a CIC governance role.

We're keen to hear from people who care about YOUTHOOD's purpose and are prepared to offer sound judgement, generous challenge and independent thinking.
Previous board experience could be valuable, but we're also interested in transferable experience and perspectives that could help strengthen our governance. We aim to explain time commitments, recruitment steps, eligibility and any conflicts-of-interest considerations clearly as opportunities are formalised.
