GET INVOLVED / SUPPORT OUR MISSION

Help make the work possible.

Building lasting youth development infrastructure takes more than a good idea. It takes people, resources, relationships and the collective willingness to invest in a better future for young people. Your backing can help turn years of groundwork into sustained action.

OUR NEXT CHAPTER

The groundwork is there. Now we build what comes next.

YOUTHOOD hasn't been built overnight. Years of thought, development and voluntary commitment have gone into shaping our mission, organisational foundations and approaches to youth development.

From our Common Rooms to the National Architecture for Youth Development and Multi-Agency Youth Development Partnerships, we're developing connected approaches that can strengthen how young people, professionals and institutions work together.

Our mission needs backing to grow responsibly, reach further and make meaningful delivery sustainable. We're inviting people to help build the infrastructure, relationships and opportunities behind that next stage.

FOUR WAYS TO FUND THE MISSION

Choose what you'd like to help make possible.

Different parts of our work need different kinds of support. Some can be backed through a single event; others require national engagement, ongoing organisational capacity or longer-term investment. All four help move the same mission forward.

01 / THE FOUNDATIONS ✳

Organisational Infrastructure

Support the organisation that makes the mission possible.

Behind every framework, event and partnership is an organisation that needs the people, systems and capacity to operate responsibly. Support can help with workforce development, safeguarding, finance, communications, coordination and our transition towards a sustainable operating model.

Core funding • Workforce capacity • Systems & expertise

Support isn't only financial. Professional services, technology, suitable spaces, training and strategic introductions can all help strengthen our foundations.

03 / NATIONAL LEARNING â—Ž

National Architecture for Youth Development

Help strengthen shared understanding across sectors.

Our NAYD framework has been developed to support a common understanding of youth development across professions. Funding can help resource its sector review, refinement, launch, accessible resources and engagement with people who will question, strengthen and explore its use.

Sector review • Framework launch • Dissemination

Help put NAYD in conversation. Sector networks, professional expertise and opportunities for review and dialogue are essential alongside financial backing.

02 / INSIGHT-LED CHANGE ◌

Common Rooms

Help create spaces where experiences become shared understanding.

Common Rooms bring young people and professionals together to explore the experiences shaping young people's lives. Focused backing can help fund venues, facilitation, participation, accessibility, materials, travel and the work required to share learning beyond the room.

Event sponsorship • Participation support • Venue partnerships

Help bring the right people together. Introductions to schools, youth organisations and relevant professionals can matter as much as venue or event funding.

04 / PLACE-BASED CHANGE ⌘

Multi-Agency Youth Development Partnerships

Help build shared responsibility for youth development within places.

MYDP is a sustained place-based approach connecting local authorities, youth-facing services and wider institutions through professional learning, youth insight and shared accountability. Bringing it into practice calls for coordinated, multi-year support and local commissioning relationships.

Multi-year investment • Place commissioning • Local participation

Help open doors across a place. Connections to public-service leaders, local networks and organisations can help establish the relationships needed for meaningful delivery.

Different scales. One connected mission.

Common Rooms can be supported through focused event-level contributions; NAYD needs framework review and national engagement support; MYDP requires longer-term place-based investment. Organisational infrastructure underpins them all. Funding amounts are discussed case by case.

BEYOND FINANCIAL SUPPORT

More than funding.

Money is one part of making change possible. So are the resources, relationships and insights that help work reach the people and places where it matters.

01 / RESOURCING

Financial backing

Support organisational capacity, sponsor a particular activity or explore longer-term investment in our work.

02 / SHARING

Expertise & practical resources

Contribute specialist knowledge, suitable venues, technical assistance, equipment or time to strengthen our work.

03 / OPENING DOORS

Connections & opportunities

Help us reach relevant networks, decision-makers, professionals and organisations, or create space for important conversations.

OUR FUNDRAISING APPEAL

Small contributions.
Stronger foundations.

Our founding fundraising ambition is to raise £5,000 towards YOUTHOOD's organisational foundations. This is an early step towards reliable systems, communications, coordination and the capacity to prepare and support public-facing work.

It is not the complete budget for our mission, NAYD, Common Rooms or MYDP. It's one practical way individuals can help build what makes those ambitions possible.

OUR COMMITMENT

Backing should be met with transparency.

We want supporters to understand what their contribution is intended to achieve, how resources are used and what progress their backing helps make possible.

We distinguish between unrestricted organisational support, specific project funding, in-kind contributions and formal partnership arrangements. Any restricted funding and reporting expectations need to be agreed clearly, with appropriate financial, governance and safeguarding checks.

Our commitment is to build responsibly, protect our independence and be accountable for the confidence others place in our work.

For organisations considering support

Grant funding, sponsorship, commissioning and in-kind contributions may require separate discussions, due diligence and appropriate agreements. Our current personal-donation route does not prevent those conversations.

YOUTHOOD does not currently claim charitable registration or Gift Aid eligibility. We will make any changes to our donation arrangements clear.

ⓘ How we currently receive donations

YOUTHOOD is developing its charitable registration arrangements and the financial systems needed to receive and manage donations directly.

For now, personal donations are accepted through our official GoFundMe fundraiser. This gives supporters a clear, accessible route to contribute while helping us keep our founding fundraising activity visible and transparent.

We are not currently accepting direct donations through our website or organisational bank account. As our financial infrastructure develops, we intend to introduce additional routes with appropriate controls and reporting.
