EXPLORE IN MORE DEPTH

What's actually included?

Each offer works differently. These descriptions explain the purpose, practical components, expected responsibilities and access arrangements, so you can assess suitability before leaving this page.

01 / PLACE-BASED CHANGE

Multi-Agency Youth Development Partnerships

A local partnership for strengthening the whole youth-facing landscape, not a separate service replacing what already exists.

Who it is for

For local authorities and partnerships bringing together education, health, housing, youth provision, children’s services and local communities.

What it involves

An initial two-year partnership, anchored by a local authority. Each annual cycle includes seven cross-system learning sessions; a 4–6 week summer community engagement programme; youth insight and accountability activity; and an Annual Place-Based Change Record.

What to understand

The aim is stronger cross-system relationships, shared developmental understanding and a visible record of what the place is learning. It is not an inspection, accreditation or scorecard.

Access & timing

In development; first Greater Manchester partnership targeted for 2028–29.

Cost & commissioning

No standard published price. Funding and partnership commitments are established through discussion.

02 / STRUCTURED LEARNING

Organisational Learning Offer

A complete facilitated learning cycle centred on an actual youth participation process, with learning on both sides and accountability at the end.

Who it is for

For schools, colleges, charities, youth organisations, commissioners and established or planned participation cohorts.

What it involves

Stage 1: scope the cohort and intended influence route. Stage 2: separate opening sessions for young people and organisational staff. Stage 3: the host runs its own participation activity. Stage 4: YOUTHOOD facilitates the Shared Accountability Review and identifies next steps.

What to understand

The host manages its own participants, safeguarding and decisions. The offer is not an inspection, accreditation, or a substitute for running the participation activity.

Access & timing

Opening in 2027; early commissioning enquiries welcomed. Currently zero funded places available.

Cost & commissioning

£450 per cohort virtually; £510 per cohort in person plus reasonable travel costs. Network programmes have an agreed scoped fee.

03 / NETWORK ENGAGEMENT

Network Sessions & Contributions

A considered contribution to an existing network, forum or multi-agency discussion, focused on reflection and conversation rather than delivery of a complete learning programme.

Who it is for

For sector convenors, cross-organisational forums, regional networks and partnerships seeking a youth-development perspective.

What it involves

Agree the topic and intended audience; identify what the discussion should explore; plan a relevant contribution and room for questions; confirm any follow-up or signposting. The exact format is agreed with the convenor.

What to understand

Useful for enriching an existing agenda and creating a shared language. It should not be confused with YOUTHOOD’s separately commissioned network-wide Learning Offer.

Access & timing

By invitation or enquiry, subject to relevance and capacity.

Cost & commissioning

No published standard rate; confirm any fee, expenses or scope directly.

04 / RESOURCE ORIENTATION

Tools & Resources Orientation Sessions

An accessible guided walkthrough of the existing YOUTHOOD Insight-to-Influence public tools and guidance, helping people navigate a growing resource collection.

Who it is for

For professional teams, decision-makers, partner organisations and networks new to the framework or deciding where to begin.

What it involves

Agree the audience’s needs; explain the main resource pathways; demonstrate selected tools and guidance; answer navigation and application questions; signpost to independent resources and, where relevant, structured learning.

What to understand

The session is for orientation and familiarisation, not bespoke organisational consultancy, an audit or the full Organisational Learning Offer.

Access & timing

Enquiry-based; format and availability agreed according to capacity.

Cost & commissioning

Public tools are independently accessible free of charge. No published fixed fee for a facilitated orientation session.

A note on scope: MYDP is a developing place-based partnership, not a bookable workshop. The Organisational Learning Offer is a defined cohort-based programme. Network contributions and resource orientations are scoped through enquiry. Details and availability may evolve; follow the full programme pages for current arrangements.

THE RIGHT LEVEL OF SUPPORT

Explore. Learn. Partner.

Not every organisation needs a commissioned programme to begin. Our public tools and resources can be explored independently, orientation helps people find a starting point, facilitated learning supports application, and place-based partnerships enable deeper collaboration.

A CONNECTED MISSION

Different ways to contribute to stronger youth development.

Our services sit within YOUTHOOD's wider work across insight-led, place-based and national statutory change. They are practical routes into that mission, not substitutes for it.
